Davidson will host its annual Access Davidson program Nov. 3-5, 2019.
Access Davidson is a selective program for high school seniors designed to provide an opportunity to visit campus for students from traditionally under-represented groups or those that may not have access to visit campus otherwise. Due to the brevity of the visit, only students living in the United States and Puerto Rico are eligible for consideration. Only students who have not been on an official visit may be selected for the program.
If selected, you will arrive Sunday afternoon and stay on campus with a current Davidson student for two nights. You will attend classes and should plan to return home Tuesday afternoon. Davidson will cover the direct expenses associated with your visit to campus. This includes airfare to/from your home airport, ground transportation in Charlotte to/from campus, meals during the visit, and overnight accommodations.
To apply for the program, students must complete the following steps:
- Submit a complete Access Davidson application.
- Upload a complete transcript that includes the senior schedule.
The priority deadline for application submission is August 26; the final deadline is September 16. While the Admission Committee will review and consider all applications received by the final deadline, they will begin reviewing and inviting students to attend on a rolling basis following the priority deadline. The Admission Committee will notify students if additional information is required. Decisions will be communicated no later than Monday, Sept. 30.
Please know that space is limited. If a student accepts our invitation to visit and then cancels after air travel tickets have been purchased, the student and their family will be responsible for reimbursing the cost of the ticket.
