Summer Welcome Events
Welcome Wildcats!
Please join us for a Summer Send-Off and/or a Virtual Wildcat Welcome to meet fellow incoming Davidson parents, families and mentors.
Our Summer Welcome Events offer a great opportunity to build your Davidson community as you start your college journey. We look forward to welcoming the Class of 2030 students and their families!
Virtual Wildcat Welcomes
Parents and supporters are invited to register for a virtual summer gathering. Don't miss this chance to connect with a team member from the Office of Alumni and Family Engagement, as well as other incoming parents. After a short whole-group introduction, current parents will lead small breakout sessions, where they will discuss their families’ Davidson experience and answer questions from incoming families. While the Virtual Wildcat Welcomes are geared towards family members, students are welcome to join.
The dates for the Summer 2026 welcomes will be shared in mid-June. Each program will follow the same format, so families may select the date that works best. We typically offer four sessions from late-July through early August. The welcomes will take place over a variety of days and times to accommodate different schedules and time zones.

Summer Send-Offs
The Office of Alumni and Family Engagement, in collaboration with current families, host a series of informal gatherings to welcome incoming students and their families.
These casual, relaxed events take place in various regional areas. They offer an opportunity for incoming families to connect, while engaging with a college representative. Summer Send-Offs are a fantastic way to unite the Davidson community, and they allow students and their families to build their networks before arriving on campus for Orientation.
We will share the locations for the 2026 Summer Send-Offs in June. They will be scheduled in designated cities beginning in mid-July through early-August.
