Student Engagement Ambassadors
Meet the Davidson Student Engagement Ambassadors
Patrice Neely ’29
Hi! My name is Patrice Neely and I am a first year from Augusta, Georgia. I am an intended Environmental Studies and Economics double major. On campus, I am a member of Black Femmes and Sustainability Collective (I love anything dealing with our planet). I am also a Questbridge Scholar.
Some fun things about me is that I love to read, listen to music, and watch a good movie. My favorite study spot (believe it or not) is Union. I enjoy working as a Student Engagement Ambassador and meeting Davidson alumni. It’s a great way to engage with our Davidson community!
Musa Nisar ’29
Hello! My name is Musa, and I’m a freshman intending to major in Economics and Political Science from Lahore, Pakistan.
Outside of classes, I’m the freshman representative of the Entrepreneurship Club alongside being involved in Club Tennis, the Pre-Consulting Society and the International, South Asian and Muslim Students Associations. I’m also a writer for The Davidsonian, and work for the Quiz Center and Football Office. In my free time, you can find me in the College Union playing a game of table tennis or indoor cricket.
Being a Student Engagement Ambassador is a rewarding experience as you encounter so many different people of Davidson’s large and diverse community. I’m excited to continue connecting with alumni!
Annabelle Okwenje ’29
Ogamba ki (Hi, in my mother tongue, Luganda)! My name is Annabelle Okwenje and I am a first-year student from Kampala, Uganda, East Africa.
I am a passionate Public Health major and Data Science minor student here at Davidson College. On campus, I serve on the Health Justice Committee student executive-board and the Intervarsity Campus Ministry student leadership. Apart from this, I am a lover of all things music, singing and theatre, and I will be starring in the “School Girls” production this Spring ’26! Being a Student Engagement Ambassador has been an amazing experience, allowing me to connect and build meaningful relationships with Davidson alumni. I am excited for all it has in store!
Will Slate ’29
Hi! My name is Will Slate, and I am a first year from Thomasville, North Carolina. I am majoring in Political Science. I am a Radio DJ with WALT 1610, and a committed tennis player for Klub Varsity Tennis. I am often found somewhere near sports as I serve as an Intramural Referee as well.
Outside of my academics, I enjoy everything soccer, and work as a USSF Soccer Referee off-campus. I look forward to connecting with Davidson alumni and continuing my journey at Davidson College as a Student Engagement Ambassador!
Musa Camara ’29
Hello! My name is Musa Camara, and I am a first year from Cary, North Carolina majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE).
Outside of class, I am a Student Government Senator and on the Mock Trial team. And when I’m not doing those activities, I’m eating desserts from Vail Commons, golfing or watching UFC. I’ve loved my Davidson experience so far and can’t wait to learn and connect as a Student Engagement Ambassador this year.
