New students and their families will kick-off Orientation with a special welcome from President Doug Hicks and other campus leaders.

Families are invited to attend panel discussions hosted by various offices designed to answer common questions regarding college programs and resources. 

  • Beyond Davidson - Hance Auditorium, Chambers (3rd Floor)
    It's never too early to start thinking about life after Davidson. Join Betty and B. Frank Matthews II ’49 Center for Career Development (Matthews Center) Liz Wilson, Assistant Director for Business & Finance to learn about the four-year process for success after Davidson and how the Matthews Center can help. Q&A will follow a brief presentation.

  • Davidson In The World - Hamilton W McKay Atrium, E. Craig Wall Jr Academic Center 
    The directors of the Dean Rusk International Studies Program and The Office of Education Abroad will discuss ways students encounter the world beyond Davidson

  • Mechanics of Money - C Shaw Smith 900 Room, Alvarez College Union (3rd floor)
    Still confused about things like Dining Dollars, CatCards and Financial Aid? You are not alone! Come get some questions answered by members of the Controller's Office, Office of Financial Aid and Auxiliary Services

  • Meet the Hurt Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship - Room 210, E. Craig Wall Jr Academic Center
    Learn about how the Hurt Hub@Davidson facilitates access to innovation and entrepreneurship for all Davidson students, faculty, alumni, and the broader Charlotte community.   • Scholar-Athlete Panel - Tyler-Tallman Auditorium, Sloan Music Center
    The associate director of athletics and two scholar-athletes will talk and answer questions about what to expect for your student-athlete.

  • Student Support Resources -Sprinkle Room, Alvarez College Union (4th floor)
    Professionals from the Residence Life Office, Center for Student Health and Well-Being, Academic Access and Disability Resources, and the Dean of Students Office will address some of the resources available to your student at Davidson

A Sweet Sendoff
