Check in at the main entrance of Baker Sports Complex to receive important information regarding Orientation, including information for meeting with your student's holistic adviser.

Orientation Fair

After you check in, visit with representatives of different college departments and programs who will be available to answer questions and describe their services.

10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Opening Session

New students and their families will kick-off orientation will a special welcome from President Doug Hicks and other campus leaders. 

2:30 p.m.–3:30 p.m.
Meet the Deans
Baker Sports Complex
The vice president of student life and dean of students, vice president of academic affairs and dean of faculty, and other campus administrators will address families and answer questions.

3:45 p.m.–5:30 p.m.
Campus Partner Resource Sessions
Families are invited to attend panel discussions hosted by various offices designed to answer common questions regarding college programs and resources. Each session will last 45 minutes.

Scholar-Athlete Panel
Hamilton W. McKay Atrium, E. Craig Wall Jr Academic Center
The associate director of athletics and two scholar-athletes will talk and answer questions about what to expect for your student-athlete.

The directors of the Dean Rusk International Studies Program and the Office of Education Abroad will discuss ways students encounter the world beyond Davidson

Vail Commons
For students and family members of students with food allergies and special dietary needs, a tour of the kitchen and information on the Food Allergy Policy will be offered at Vail Commons.
