Davidson Network Night
Davidson Network Nights happen across the country each October.
These events provide a social networking opportunity for alumni, parents and friends to celebrate the strength of the Davidson network and welcome alumni and families who have recently moved to these regions.
Whether you're hoping to catch up with old friends or make new connections, we hope to see you there!
Registration links will be added soon and Look Who's Coming lists will be added on Monday, September 30. These lists are only updated occasionally and do not represent all event registrants or likely attendees. Check back closer to the event date for a more complete list.

Q: Is this a “networking” event?
A: Davidson Network Nights are intended to be the primary annual social event for chapters as well as an opportunity to celebrate the strength of the Davidson network. The format is open mingling. We will collect and share career information from those who provided it prior to the events in hopes that it will spark conversation and potentially lead to career-related conversations during or following the event. There is no structured networking component at the events, and you do not need to be currently employed or looking for new opportunities to attend. We will provide information about how you can continue to connect with the greater Davidson network in a way that makes sense for you, whether that is supporting students, requesting career advice, and/or connecting socially.
Q: What is the dress code?
A: Many attendees come to the event from work, so the most common dress is business casual. However, nice/snappy casual is also perfectly acceptable.
Q: Are these events related to the past “Welcome to the City” events hosted by chapters?
A: These events function similarly to the Welcome to the City events we held in the past. We will recognize new members of the chapters, including any Class of 2019 graduates. If you are an established resident of your area, please introduce yourself and share advice with newcomers!
Q: I’m not an alumnus/a – should I still attend?
A: Yes! Parents, recent past parents, and friends of the college are all members of our chapters. We would love for you to attend and connect with other members of the extended Davidson family.
Q: Are these events kid-friendly?
A: You are free to use your best judgment, taking into account the venue and the age of your kids. It is not common for kids to attend these events in high numbers, but they are welcome to attend.
Q: Can I expect to see Davidson staff at these events?
A: Staff from our College Relations division and Center for Career Development will be present at many of the larger events, and two events (Dallas/Ft. Worth and New York City) feature special speakers. Please refer to the individual registration page for your event to see who is currently planning to attend which event. If Davidson staff or faculty are attending your event, feel free to ask them any questions that you have about Davidson today.
Q: Will there be a formal program?
A: Many events will include welcome remarks from chapter presidents, service chairs, and/or college staff approximately 30 minutes into the event. Remarks will typically be brief in order to leave plenty of time for connecting.
Q: How do I follow up with attendees if I want to reach out following the event?
A: We will leave the Look Who's Coming lists posted for a few weeks following the events. We encourage you to use the Online Community directory if you are just looking for contact information. The Davidson Career Advisor Network (DCAN) is a great resource if you are looking to seek or offer career-specific advice from the Davidson network. You can also find the majority of attendees on LinkedIn by using the search function, viewing All Filters, and typing Davidson College into school and joining the Davidson College Network group. We will follow up with all attendees following the events with additional information on how to stay connected to Davidson College and each other.
