Personal Statement
I am forever indebted to Davidson. I arrived on campus as a shy, bookish young girl who was afraid of her own shadow; I left Davidson as an independent young woman, firmly rooted in the concepts of integrity and honor, and with a deep understanding of the power of hard work, perseverance, and public service. Davidson lovingly pushed me outside of my comfort zone, opened my eyes to a world of different experiences and viewpoints, and gave me the tools to navigate those differences successfully.
I attended law school after graduating, with the intention of using my degree in service to my community. I had the privilege of serving as a prosecutor at the U.S. Department of Justice for over 13 years, ultimately becoming the Acting U.S. Attorney in Brooklyn and overseeing high-profile matters, including the prosecutions of R. Kelly, Martin “Pharma Bro” Shkreli, and El Chapo.
I am now in private practice, helping companies and people navigate often-stressful government inquiries and investigations. Because Davidson means so much to me, I take every opportunity I can to contribute to the college, mentor current students and graduates, and connect with Wildcats of all ages. I would be honored to serve again, this time as Alumni Board President, to represent you and contribute my experience to Davidson during these challenging times.
