Not a student but know someone who you think should apply? We want to know about them!
This is a selective college visit program designed for high school seniors who will be the first in their family to attend college, students from rural or low-income backgrounds, and/or students who do not have the means to visit campus on their own (either because of geographic distance or financial stress).
This program is only open to students living and attending high school in the United States and Puerto Rico. Students who have not been on an official visit to campus will be prioritized for participation.
Davidson covers the cost of transportation to and from campus, meals, and overnight accommodations for program participants.
Davidson College will offer Access Davidson programming both in-person and virtually this year. In-person programming will run September 14-16 on campus and virtual programming will happen from 3 - 6 p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday, September 14. Students will be able to indicate which programs they would like to be considered for in their application, noting that students selected to participate will ultimately only be invited to one of the two programs.
Access Davidson provides prospective students with an opportunity to hear from current students, faculty, and staff over the course of their stay. Sessions may include opportunities to:
- Hear from those leading Davidson’s affinity student organizations
- Connect with admission and financial aid officers
- Participate in Davidson student activities
- Attend an in-person or virtual class
To apply for the program, students must complete the following steps:
- Submit a complete Access Davidson application
- Upload a transcript that includes your final grades from 9th, 10th, and 11th grade years
- Upload a copy of your 2025 – 2026 academic year schedule
We will notify students if additional information is needed.
At the Access Davidson program, I saw the vibrancy and inclusivity of Davidson College's community. I felt what it means to be part of a community greater than oneself - a feeling that stayed with me long after.

The outcome of your Access Davidson application does not impact your admission decision to Davidson College. In fact, we encourage you to still apply for admission! Every year, there are qualified applicants who we are unable to invite to participate in Access Davidson simply because of space limitations.
Those students who have not been on an official campus visit and who are not selected for the fall Access Davidson program are eligible for later visit opportunities in conjunction with admitted student programming. Admission officers nominate competitive applicants for the spring Access Davidson program as part of the application reading and evaluation process.
