Academic Facilities Breadcrumb Home About Campus Spaces Academic Facilities The college's academic facilities boast world-class labs and classrooms as well as historic buildings celebrating the long-standing traditions of academic excellence at Davidson. Chambers Building The primary classroom building and the academic center of campus, Chambers Building houses most of the classrooms for non-arts and non-science majors as well as administrative and faculty offices. E. Craig Wall Jr. Academic Center The E. Craig Wall Jr. Academic Center features teaching laboratory spaces, research labs, and faculty offices. Student common areas and an open forum space provide a gathering place for the campus community and encourages collaboration. E.H. Little Library The centrally located E.H. Little Library houses our main collection of books, periodicals, films, and government documents. The building also contains the Center for Teaching and Learning and our special collections. Baker-Watt Science Complex Facilities for the Physics Department provide state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment for cutting-edge education and research. Jay Hurt Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship The Hurt Hub is a 23,000 square foot, LEED Gold-certified facility where campus and community collide for access and exposure to innovation and entrepreneurship. Carolina Inn One of the oldest town of Davidson buildings, the Carolina Inn serves as the home for the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies. Elm and Oak Row Built as dormitories in 1836, Elm and Oak Row are two of the oldest buildings on campus. Both buildings have been used for a variety purposes over the years including meeting and classroom space, academic offices and faculty offices. Eumenean and Philanthropic Halls Originally the home to a debating society founded in 1837, "Eu Hall" still houses the original ceremonial meeting rooms for the society on top floor as well as faculty offices on the bottom floor. Preyer Building Home to a variety of faculty offices, the Preyer Building served as the college infirmary for a half century before its conversion to an academic space.
