Every five years, each Davidson class celebrates its reunion during Reunion Weekend–typically the second weekend in June–on Davidson's beautiful campus.
The focus of Davidson's reunion program is to encourage as many class members as possible to connect during their reunion year, to return to campus and to strengthen their commitment to Davidson through the class gift.
Reunion committees are the backbone of these landmark celebrations and make the weekend happen. They take the lead on building attendance and generating enthusiasm during their milestone year. A successful class reunion is achieved by:
- Engaging and reconnecting alumni with their classmates and the college both throughout the planning process and implementation of Reunion Weekend.
- Encouraging alumni to return to campus to reminisce about their time as a student as well as learn about the Davidson of today.
- Educating alumni through intentional programming, highlighting college leadership, current and retired faculty and peers.
- Provide an opportunity to reevaluate their philanthropic relationship with Davidson and to strength their commitment through the Reunion Class Gift.
Want to be on your Reunion committee?
The Offices of Alumni and Family Engagement and Annual Giving are seeking volunteers to serve on their class Reunion Planning Committee for Reunion Weekend 2020. The members of the committee will assist with inviting classmates to return to campus, planning class events and fundraising towards the class gift. The committee will begin its work in mid-September and will continue through Reunion Weekend. Serve as a reunion committee member for the 5th-50th Reunion or a Reunion Ambassador for the 55th-60th Reunion. If you are interested in serving on the Reunion Planning Committee for your class, or have suggestions of other classmates who would make good volunteers, please complete this brief survey.
